Privacy Policy

Flip Daily ("Flip Daily," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our app and website (together, the "Service").
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to run Flip Daily and sync your study across your devices.
Account information
•
Your email address and (optionally) a display name and username, provided when you create an account.
•
Authentication data used to securely sign you in.
Content you create
•
The decks and cards you make — including the questions, answers, tags, and any images you add to a card.
•
Optional inputs to Pro features, such as notes you paste for AI card generation or audio you record for speech‑to‑text. These are processed to create cards and are not used for advertising.
Study activity
•
Your reviews, ratings, scheduling state, and session history. This is what lets the FSRS algorithm schedule each card and sync your progress across devices.
Diagnostics
•
Basic device and app information and crash/error logs, used to keep the app stable. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your account.
•
Store your decks and cards and sync them across your iPhone, iPad, and the web.
•
Schedule your reviews using the FSRS spaced‑repetition algorithm.
•
Power Discover — letting you publish decks and subscribe to decks shared by others.
•
Provide Pro features such as AI card generation and speech‑to‑text.
•
Maintain, secure, and improve the app, and respond to support requests.
All information we collect is used solely to provide and improve Flip Daily.
Discover and Public Decks
Flip Daily includes a Discover feature for sharing decks. When you choose to publish a deck, that deck — its title, description, cards, and your byline (username) — becomes visible to other Flip Daily users. Your email address and private study history are never shared through Discover.
Publishing is always your choice. You can unpublish a deck at any time, which removes it from Discover. Decks you keep private are visible only to you.
Subscriptions and Payments
Flip Daily Pro is sold as a subscription through the Apple App Store (and other app stores where available). Payments are processed by the app store, not by us. We never receive or store your payment card details.
We use RevenueCat to manage and validate subscription status across your devices. RevenueCat receives a random app‑specific identifier and your subscription and transaction status from the app store; it does not receive your name, email, or payment card details.
We Do Not Sell Your Information
We will never sell, rent, or give away your personal information to third parties. Flip Daily collects only the minimal information required to operate the service.
How We Share Information
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Flip Daily, and only as needed to provide the app:

Cloud storage and authentication — your account and content are stored securely with Supabase.
•
App stores — Apple and Google process subscription payments and report subscription status.
•
Subscription management — RevenueCat validates and syncs your subscription status, receiving only a random app‑specific identifier and your subscription/transaction status (never your name, email, or card details).
•
AI and speech‑to‑text providers — when you use those Pro features, the relevant input is sent to a processing provider to generate your cards.
These providers are bound to handle your data only on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase with industry‑standard encryption. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and only authorized personnel have access to your data for service maintenance and support.
Your Rights and Choices
•
Update your profile information at any time within the app.
•
Add, edit, or delete individual cards and decks you own.
•
Unpublish any deck you've shared to Discover.
•
Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data.
Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal information — your decks, cards, study history, and profile — from our systems.
Data Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete all associated personal data. We may retain certain information if required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Children's Privacy
Flip Daily is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 are not permitted to create accounts. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
How to Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your account and all of its data directly in the app:

Open Flip Daily and sign in to the account you want to delete.
•
Go to your profile or Settings, then scroll to Delete Account.
•
Confirm when prompted. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — your decks, cards, study history, and profile are removed.
If you can't access the app, email us and we'll process the deletion for you.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date below and post the new policy here and in the app. Your continued use of Flip Daily after an update means you accept the revised policy.
